A Classy Work Dress

I’m loving everything Maeve this spring!! They just cannot do wrong it seems.

A Classy Work Dress

As soon as I saw this hanging in-store I knew I needed it. My similar Maeve dress is one of my favourite go-to’s and this is just a tad bit nicer, given it has a little more detail.

It might not pick up in the photos, but the centre panelling is a dark navy blue colour that is just beautiful. I love wearing this dress by itself, but it also looks phenomenal with a waist belt.

My boyfriend bought the lovely necklace and earrings for me while he was in Europe in December. This is possibly my favourite ring… I picked it up in-store on sale back in December and have been loving it ever since!!!  The stone reminds me of the Arkenstone from the Hobbit : D !!  The creamy white colours of the jewelry go absolutely perfectly with this dress!

The last part of this outfit is my FAVOURITE new thing!!!  An adorable watch that I’m just 110% in love with.  Since it’s black, it goes with most anything but those adorable polka dots just get me all sorts of compliments!!  Plus it’s a great price for such a lovely little watch : )

Have a great weekend everyone!! : ) It’s supposed to be beautiful weather so go get your tan on!

The Perfect Spring Accessory!!

The plants are all budding & all around town veryyy pale legs are finally making an appearance!! Mine have been blinding the town since the beginning of April… but some of us are just bolder than others. ; )

The Perfect Spring Accessory!!

I was so thrilled when we got this vest in at my local Anthropologie. It’s the ultimate cutest accessory for 2014 spring/summer!!! I was sold on getting it the second I saw the adorable lace on the back.

Not only am I in love with this vest… but I also adore this dress! It’s great for casual days walking around town, as well as the office. The more wearable the piece, the more it is worth the cost. Lately I’ve been picking up a ton of business pieces that would look far too stiff outside of work , as well as shorts and tanks that I could never wear to the office… so having a few things that work for both is fantastic! : )

I took these photos right before I went to the supermarket, so I paired the outfit with my favourite basic sandals and no other accessories. I can’t think of a time I ever wore a statement necklace to Safeway…

Hope everyone’s having a great Spring thus far! See you all again soon : )

Birthday Dinner Dress

Birthday Dinner Dress

Happy Spring Friends!!

For my 22nd birthday this past week, my family and I went out to a west coast restaurant on Whyte Ave. The food was OK, but my dress was fantastic!  As previously mentioned in Emi’s Haul, I fell in love with this zip-front dress when she bought it.  The fabric almost feels foamy it’s so soft, and the pockets are made out of this fantastic stretchy material.  It is too comfortable to be such a fitted dress.

I paired it with a basic pair of leather sandals that I just received from my Anthropologie online shopping a few weeks ago : ) I’m so happy with them! I always have great luck with Anthro’s shoes, they always arrive in the perfect size & they’re always super comfortable.

manly enough to drink a bellini

I highly recommend anyone looking for a great basic to go to your local Anthro and try on this dress! You won’t be disappointed! : )

Elephants !

Elephants !

A huge trend right now is animal print (no… not cheetah or zebra print… but actual animals)! This is an undying statement at Anthropologie; they’re a company inspired by nature, and they’re constantly rocking nature-inspired clothes.

When I found an elephant printed shirt hanging dangerously close to this elephant printed scarf… I knew it was fate. 1 + 1 = elephant.

It’s an adorable outfit for summer, which is approaching very slowly, as it snowed yet again today. I paired it with some basic Pilcro shorts & voila! Outfit made!

Review: These tanks are so silky soft & lightweight that I bought 2 (in different colours), I also found they fit one full size too large. The scarf is a great little piece, it’s a lightweight knit that will be perfect for summer. Finally, the Pilcro shorts I obviously love, as I now have the same pair in 3 colours!!!

Scarf:  elephas infinity scarf
Shorts:  demin roll-up shorts (pilcro)

The Best Vest

The Best Vest

I’ve been on the hunt for a fabulous vest. It’s just a great piece to have on hand on days when you don’t want to do more than a tank & shorts, but you want to add an edge. Since I began my hunt a few months ago, I haven’t been super impressed with anything my local Anthropologie got in… until this fabulous little number!

What a statement this crocheted back is!! I’ve already gotten so many compliments on it & it’s such a fun piece to wear. I’m glad I waited as long as I did for my vest, because this was certainly worth it!! : )

Sooooo happy with this excellent little addition to my closet!

Vest: turson netter tassel vest (moth)

Hopeful for Spring!

Hopeful for Spring!

Living in Canada and seeing all these Southern fashionistas posting fabulous shorts and skirt pics inspired me to toss on more of my own shorts and try for the first outdoor photos of 2014!! Too bad weather wasn’t cooperating with my ideas… Booooooo winter!!!!

I do love these shorts though !!! : D

I have Pilcro Stet shorts in jean material and Pilcro Hyphens in a casual cotton material, but when these Level 99 linen shorts arrived and I tried them on, I was in love. The fit is a fantastic not-too-short length with great front & back pocket detailing. I was actually about to purchase the grey Pilcro’s when the local personal stylist told me I had to try on these shorts! So glad I did!

The top is a great basic tank that I plan to pick up in a few more colours, & the scarf I’ve had in previous posts. It’s still just as bright & soft as ever!

Top:  slubby knit tank (pure + good)
Shorts:  linen shorts (level 99)
Scarf:  sun-dipped scarf

Throwback: First Day of ‘Spring’

Throwback: First Day of 'Spring'

March 20th is the first official day of spring… but it’s been around 10 degrees all week, and this morning I went to leave my apartment to find SNOW (I was unprepared in flip flops).

This calls for a Throwback Thursday (#tbt) outfit from December. This is my favourite little scarf to wear when it’s cold out. It’s so warm & the bow is so so cute! I paired it with a simple black and white patterned a-line knit dress from Anthro’s winter line.

Unfortunately neither of these products is available online anymore… but check back next winter because they’ve had these cute little scarves 2 years in a row now!
